This cycle feels different

I have been in the space since 2017, during 2024/2025 I slowly sold off my holdings. I usually would try to sell and buy back in when prices went down but this dip had me feeling differently about buying back. I'm starting to feel like the reward isn't worth the risk anymore. When we were gambling/investing pre pandemic there was a huge risk but also a massive upside. Now that big companies, governments and ultra rich have gotten involved there isn't as much upside volitity. Why would anyone risk their money on something that maybe will go up 2X but could drop 99%. The days of 10x are gone and with that behind us the incentive to "invest" just isn't the same. Even the thought of all time high seems unrealistic now. Maybe I'm just crazy and maybe it will prove me wrong but I think it's my time to stay on the sidelines.
